Did you know that almost 80% of people working in the Scottish CAB service are trained volunteers?
As a CAB volunteer, you can contribute to your community, whether as an adviser, helping out with administrative tasks, fundraising or being involved with the Board of Directors.
Volunteering in the CAB can give you an opportunity to learn new skills or to develop existing skills. It can also give you work experience that may help you get paid employment or access to education and training. You could be working in the front line of social policy. volunteering with the CAB is also a chance to meet new people and to work with others.
People do not need formal qualifications to be an advice worker, but you should be a good listener, able to communicate on a variety of levels and to empathise with client's situations. If this sounds like you, you can contact us in a number of ways;
